reflection

The project that allowed me to express my creativity the most this year was Photography AT1. I’ve always loved photography because it lets me create art through the lens and capture cool moments that turn into memories. If I had the chance to do this project again, I believe I could take even better photos than before. Over the year, my photography has improved a lot. While taking those shots, I learned new techniques that I had never tried before, and it was a really fun experience. My friend was my model, and I even showed him how I created each photo; he found it fun as well. If I could record the whole process of making those pictures, that would be amazing to look back on. In the future, I want to keep working on photography. It is my passion and something I truly love, so I’ll never stop doing it.

Looking back at M&C this year, I think everything went quite smoothly for me; all the people were nice to me. I don’t really remember facing any big difficulties, but I did have many small challenges along the way. They were all the types of challenges that I actually enjoyed, because they helped me to learn new things and become better at what I love doing. I always tried to stay positive, even when things got busy, and that really helped me absorb more knowledge and ideas. Being in Trinity College and taking the Media & Communication class has taught me a lot about myself. I discovered that I really enjoy expressing ideas through creative projects, especially photography. Every task we did gave me a chance to explore something new, whether it was using different tools, learning about visual storytelling, or understanding how media influences people. After this whole year, I feel more confident about who I am and what I want to do in the future. I’ve realized that creativity and communication are things that really inspire me. This class helped me see that I want to keep learning, keep improving, and build a future that connects to the things I’m passionate about.

At the start of the year, when I thought about media, the first thing that came to my mind was social media. I didn’t really think deeply about what media truly meant or how it worked. After the first few lessons in Media and Communication, I started to understand that media is much more than just the internet or social apps. I learned about how media shapes people’s thoughts, influences society, and sometimes even spreads false information. It also made me realize how important it is to use media safely and responsibly. This class has definitely changed the way I use media. Now, I try not to let the internet control what I think or do. It’s not always easy, but being aware of it already helps a lot. I’ve also learned to question what I see online, to look for real sources, and to think critically before believing or sharing something. Throughout the year, I’ve learned about photography, film, animation, and journalism. Each topic gave me new ideas about how media can tell stories and connect with people. Moving forward, I plan to apply these skills by creating my own media projects more carefully and thoughtfully. I want to use what I’ve learned to express my ideas in positive ways and inspire others through creativity.
